VOS Theatre presents: The Sound Of Music
The Northumberland hills are alive with: The Sound of Music! VOS Theatre presents one of the most beloved family musicals of all time, The Sound of Music with music by Richard Rodgers, lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II, book by Howard Lindsay and Russel Crouse. Suggested by “The Trapp Family Singers” by Maria Augusta Trapp. A high-spirited young woman leaves a convent to become the governess to the seven children of a widowed Austrian naval officer bringing music back into their lives. Performed on stage in the Concert Hall at Victoria Hall with a live orchestra and such favourite songs as My Favorite Things, Do-Re-Mi, Sixteen Going on Seventeen and Climb Every Mountain.
