Mark Haines and his long time friend and colleague Tom Leighton are in concert at The Cobourg LOFT as part of a 5 stop Ontario Tour.. after stops at Summerfolk and PEI's Fortune Hall. These guys have been playing music together for 35 years. Though most of their work has been in Ontario, they have toured in the U.S. and Britain and as far afield as Taiwan. Tom is a fabulous accordion and keyboard player and is often working them both at the same time. He's played The LOFT before with Marie-Lynn Hammond to great acclaim. Haines and Leighton play a repertoire of original and traditional Celtic and North American folk roots music. You gotta hear their version of The Orange Blossom Special. Show starts at 7:30.
