In recognition of Remembrance Day, the VOS Theatre presents the moving play Bluebirds by Governor General’s Literary Award winning author Vern Thiessen. Set in Étaples, France in 1918, Bluebirds tells the story of three young women who volunteer to join the Canadian Army Medical Corps to serve during World War 1. These three dedicated, experienced nurses, from different parts of Canada, come together as friends and let us experience their stories, their relationships and trials while working to heal Canadian soldiers in the most difficult of conditions.
