Les AMIS Concert: pianist Manuel Arango Perez

Les Amis is delighted to present pianist Manuel Arango Perez on Sunday, March 22, at Trinity United Church in Cobourg at 3 pm.

Colombian pianist holds a doctorate in music from the Université de Montréal. Over the course of his career, he has given recitals, participated in festivals and conducted master classes in Spain, Italy, the United States, Portugal, France, Mexico, Cuba, Canada and Colombia. He has won prizes in major competitions and currently devotes his time to piano recitals, which he performs regularly between Canada and Colombia, PROGRAM Johann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750), Chromatic Fantasia and Fugue, BWV 903 Ludwig van Beethoven (1770-1827), Piano Sonata No. 23, Op. 57 “Appassionata” Maurice Ravel (1875-1937), Jeux d’eau, M. 30 Blas Emilio Atehortúa (1943-2020), Parafrasis sobre un Bambuco colombiano.
