The Memory of Water

In this award-winning play, three women gather on the night before their estranged mother’s funeral and struggle to understand their tumultuous relationships as sisters and daughters. With their different memories of the past and each other, the women are forced to face their own demons. Stephenson skillfully unravels their complex relationships through wit, hilarity and pathos. The play is a black comedy with heart and an incredible understanding of the role of memory in our lives.
