Séan McCann Bio:

Séan McCann is a singer, songwriter, and storyteller best known as a founding member of the iconic Canadian band Great Big Sea. Over the past decade, his solo work has carved out a powerful and deeply personal path — one rooted in honesty, recovery, community, and the belief that music is meant to be shared with, not performed for audiences. His live shows blend original material with beloved favourites, inviting audiences to sing along, reflect, and reconnect with themselves and with one another. In his latest tour, Sink or Swim — Singing Through the Noise, McCann sings brave new songs alongside trusted classics to speak directly to the heaviness of our times. It’s a show about staying afloat in an increasingly noisy world, finding breath when everything feels urgent, and remembering that collective singing is both grounding and healing.
